The fight appears to have taken place while the match was taking place on the field, although the exact timing could not be determined from the video.
According to an incident report provided by the Memphis Police Department, an officer in detail Wednesday night at the FedExForum responded to a single assault call in Section 105, Row N. The report listed three victims – two males and a wife – but did not identify them. name. A source with direct knowledge of the situation, who spoke to The Commercial Appeal on Saturday on condition of anonymity, said there was an initial verbal altercation between the man wearing the Dodgers hat and the man wearing Grizzlies jersey preceding the physical altercation captured on video. . Both were temporarily removed from their section and warned of their behavior before returning to their places.
Additionally, Victim #3 also informed police that the couple had an argument and that security was to intervene prior to the viral altercation, according to the incident report.
